Martha is now a Healing Touch Apprentice

Today, I finished Level 4 of Healing Touch Program’s 5-level practitioner program. This qualifies me as a Healing Touch Apprentice. Level 4 was a 30-hour program, starting at noon Wednesday and ending at noon on Saturday. The class was in a retreat setting in Asheville, North Carolina. There were 24 students (the biggest HT class I’ve ever been in), and we stayed in dormitories with roommates and no TV or internet….quite the experience! We had classes starting at 8:30 am and ending at 9:45 pm! We exchanged Healing Touch sessions with another student — giving a receiving 4 treatments each. We learned two new techniques and spent a lot of time discussing development of a Healing Touch practice and the steps needed to advance to Level 5. In order to graduate from the Level 5 class I need to document 100 treatments. I also need to receive 10 alternative/complementary therapies, read 7 books related to HT and write my reflections on the books, find an HT mentor and have her observe sessions and receive sessions. I also need to develop a Professional Profile book of my life and history, as well as developing a professional resume (done) and doing a case study. (That’s what I can remember, but I think there are a couple more things). Once these are done, I can attend a Level 5 class and apply for certification. The good news for clients is that I’ll be offering all HT sessions for $20 until I get my 100 documented sessions. Once I get certified, my rates will go up to $50 for a session, so now would be great time to give Healing Touch a try!
