    Healing Touch

I just got back from a 2-day Level 2 course on Healing Touch.

“Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.”  (Healing Touch Program, www.healingtouchprogram.com)

Healing Touch uses the hands to influence the energy field around the body, as well as the energy centers (chakras) and energy pathways (meridians).  Hospitals and other health care facilities are using Healing Touch to reduce pain, accelerate recovery, decrease anxiety and stress, and reduce the effects of chronic pain and trauma, among other things.  The goal of Healing Touch is to restore balance and harmony in the energy system, placing the client in a position to self heal.

Studies of Healing Touch in controlled clinical settings have demonstrated that Healing Touch is effective in facilitating the relaxation response and enhancing the healing process.  (www.HealingTouchResearch.com).

A Healing Touch session typically includes an intake interview, a pre-treatment evaluation, Healing Touch interventions, a post-treatment assessment, and evaluation and feedback.  A session can take from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the number and types of treatments used.

Healing Touch is a wonderful adjunct to massage, since it can be used during a massage session, or as a separate session by itself.  Some of my clients have alternated between HT sessions and massage sessions.

In Level 2, I learned a program of back techniques designed to aid in relieving back pain.  In order to give me an opportunity to practice these techniques, I am offering 1-hour Healing Touch Back Sessions for a reduced price of $25.

These sessions are non-invasive, done fully clothed, and are done with gentle physical touch on the body.  No physical manipulation or pressure is used.

Please call me at 479-981-9995 to reserve your session.  I will offer sessions at this price for the first 25 people who make appointments.
