This is my first “official” entry into my blog. It is truly exciting to have finally opened the spa after a couple of months of repairing, painting and decorating. And now, we have our own website! How cool is that?

So what is “life in the slow lane”? Well since moving to Eureka I have eventually graduated or have been demoted to (hard to tell) to “Eureka Time”. Eureka time is laid back (to say the least). It is a place you finally get to after spending a lifetime worrying about schedules and being part of the hustle and bustle. I have to say that it is a very special place to be.

Eureka is special and it is easy here in the beautiful mountains and valleys to sort of let time slip by a more slowly by savoring the moments and the things that are important to you. Sounds selfish? on the contrary because what is most important to me is my family. That’s why I am taking better care of myself these days. And my wife (Martha) is the reason that I am still able to walk and get around. More on that later.
